Fancy knitting some easy colourwork then try out this lovely Fair Isle Cushion knitting pattern. Designed by myself a few years ago when I had a shop In Leicester I decided to revisit the pattern after doing a Fair Isle class with local teacher @beingknitterly. The yarn I first used for the cushion (seen in the image) was Erika Knights Vintage wool a 100% British aran weight yarn.
If you have some aran left overs then this is an ideal project. The reverse side is a solid colour but there is no reason why you can't get creative and use oddments creating a striped panel. You need 5 different colours for the pattern side.
Each row only uses 2 colours at a time so as well as a short row the colourwork is fairly straightforward. The pattern has a full colour chart for the Fair Isle work
