About the Pattern

Create this stylish sweater using Sirdar Bonus Double Knit or any double knit yarn with a tension of 28 rows x 22 stitches to 10cm. It has a crew neck with drop sleeves and stitch detail on the front and back. 

The construction is a traditional one, knitting a back and front with two sleeves and sewing them together. I always find mattress stitch the best way to sew up my garments.

Colour shown is Cornfield 574. I do not stock this yarn but it is widely available.

Tools You Will Need

  • 3.25mm knitting needles, if you've not tried them before use circular needles (on the flat) it spreads the stitches out and makes knitting easier. But you can use straight needles if you prefer.
  • 4mm knitting needles 
  • stitch holder 
  • 4mm or smaller cable needle
  • sewing up needle
  • scissors
  • tape measure
