This lovely lacey blanket is really quite easy to knit. There are some yarn overs, slip stitches and knitting stitches together and combined you get this lovely pattern. Practise the stitch first before embarking on the blanket itself!

Skill level for the Aran Knitted Blanket Pattern

• Intermediate
• The stitches used are not tricky but combined together it can be a bit much for a beginner. 
  

Tools You Will Need

• 4mm circular knitting needles, you are knitting on the flat, the circulars are useful if not vital for spreading your stitches out. If your budget is tight and you are buying both sets of needles in my opinion you could use 5mm throughout. The 4mm are used for the first few rows only. 
  
• 5mm circular knitting needles.
  
• Sewing up needle for your ends.
• Scissors.
• Tape measure.
