This is a lovely easy hat to make.
Knitted on the flat too so if you are unsure or nervous about circular knitting then no need to stress! It starts with a 1 x 1 rib then you work a reverse stocking stitch with some increasing then knitting straight until you need to decrease for the crown.
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Please note the colour of beret photo is no longer available
Bear with me this sounds long winded but it's all relevant and not complicated.
This beret is knitted using 2 strands of the yarn. Not done this before this is how to set up your yarn. Take the ball of yarn and wind it into 2 smaller equal size balls, using kitchen scales can help get this more accurate. Then take the yarn end from each of those 2 balls and wind it into a new bigger ball. This helps keep both strands at the same tension as you are knitting and well worth the time spent doing it!
