Granny Square Crochet Blanket Kit in Sirdar Jewelspun Aran

This kit combines three of my favourite Jewelspun Aran colours, a pink, a green and purple. You make 45 squares then can have fun arranging them or use my layout guide. The granny square starts of as a circle for the first few rounds then is 'squared' off.  It's a good kit to practice your crochet skills.

I do suggest that you block the squares to 'stretch' them out before sewing together. I put a double crochet edge around the whole blanket but if you have more yarn left over try something different. 

The finished blanket size is approximately - 105cm x 90cm.

• 3 x 200g Sirdar Jewelspun aran weight yarn 100% acrylic, 1 ball each of 842, 844, 852
• Printed Colour instructions

Tools you will need for the Granny Stitch Crochet Blanket Kit

• My sample was made using a 6mm hook. If you are a looser crocheter try a 5mm hook.
• Sewing needle for the ends
• acrylic or wool double knit for sewing together. Jewelspun will fray our easily when used for sewing
• Yarn snips or scissors
