I now have stock of this lovely new colourway of this blanket. The main picture shows the 7 colours I've used for this new version, I love the mix (and hope you do too) of neutrals with the mustard and dusky pink as accents, I hope you do too. (Please note the blanket shown with red in it is no longer available).
This is a great project to pick up and put down over a period of time. To make it easier the squares are knitted in strips so rather than lots of squares to sew up you knit 8 strips each with 11 ‘squares’. These 8 strips can then be sewn together – much less sewing and ends to sew in!
You can mix the order around and change the stitch designs that you use. There are two types of stitch patterns, ‘all over’ and ‘grid’. The two have been used alternately to create what I believe is a ‘balanced’ look to the blanket.
The yarn is a superb quality 100% merino and is so lovely to work with, it's worth every penny.
