About the Haworth Tweed Intarsia Detail Cardigan Knitting Pattern 10302
Create this lovely slouchy cardigan with Sirdar Haworth Tweed. The coloured squares are a great detail on the front, back and the sleeves. You can use another double knit yarn with a tension of 28 rows x 22 stitches to 10cm. When substituting yarn do take meterage into account as this yarn has a whopping 165m per 50g.
The construction is a traditional one, knitting a back, front and sleeves and sewing them together. And the button band is made by picking up stitches a long the front edges. I always find mattress stitch the best way to sew up my garments.
The beautiful tweed-like knitted fabric of this softly rustic merino blend has Sirdars Yorkshire home at heart. The richly nepped shades give a rustic texture to plain knits and add interest to textured stitches. Woollen spun, this yarn is more voluminous and offers greater meterage for beautiful more affordable knits.
I do not stock this yarn at the moment but if the demand is there I can review this, let me know on knitone247@gmail.com
