Sirdar Jewelspun patterns and kits
For those of you that know my ranges and website you'll be familiar with lots of self patterning yarns. They take out the hard work of creating a multi coloured piece where you need to use lots of different balls of colours and not to mention all those ends to sew in.
As well as gorgeous colours Jewelspun aran also offers a very soft feel yarn. It's loose spun nature allows the acrylic to feel lofty and springy that's a treat to knit or crochet.
So it's no surprise that Sirdar Jewelspun aran is one of my current favourite yarns. My first foray into working with the yarn was April 2020 (lockdown!), faced with my own company at home I set about working on a big new project and a new blanket kit for Knit One Kits.
Browsing through stitch books for inspiration I came across a Chevron Granny stitch, after a few hours of messing around with tension and size of the blanket I started my sample for the Original Granny Stitch Chevron Blanket!
Since the Chevron Blanket kit I've created different versions of knitted Jewelspun aran blankets.
There is the Textured Blanket,
Stocking Stitch Domino Blanket
It was an obvious one too to create a crochet and knitted cushion cover using Sirdar Jewelspun aran. For you knitters - Textured stitch knitting kit and for the Crocheters - Crochet cushion cover kit both only use one ball of Sirdar Jewelspun and only cost £10.50
